Matthew 13:10-23 Open Your Eyes is a plea to take the cotton out of your ears and the blinders off your eyes and discern what is truth and what is of real importance. Romans 6:23 says; What we earned for our rebellion against God is eternal separation from God, but the free gift of God is real life if we are followers and disciples of the one who made life possible with his paying for our sin, Jesus Christ. (Paraphrase)
If we say we are followers of Jesus, we prove it with our lives. Romans 8:12-17,
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
To follow Jesus, we have to drop everything to follow Him. Whatever we don’t let go of is a god. If we are the temple of God, Jesus doesn’t hang out in the same temple with other gods. He’ll let them have all of you. He doesn’t share. It’s all or nothing. Your choice. Matthew 10:38, 19:16-26
