Weird Sensations
Well, this morning was my dermatology appointment. In case you didn’t know, I had this mole above my left eyebrow that got irritated and itches/hurts. 2 years ago I went for an appointment and got it checked, but didn’t do anything about it because of the circumstances.
Then, this morning, I went again. The doctor checked the mole and measured it to see if had gotten any bigger. It had. Then, Mom and him discussed what to do about it.. if we ought to wait, or if it should be cut off with a razor blade, or cut out. If it got cut off, it might come back in the next 17 years. But, it probably wouldn’t irritate me.
So, we opted to cut it off. They (the doctor and the nurse) had me lay on the bed thing (it had a comfy pillow). The moved the bright light over to my head and the doctor told me to close my eyes. Then, he took this square thing that had alcohol on it, and wiped the mole and gave me a shot. Then he took some clipper thing (everything is a thing, because they aren’t exactly what I call them.
) and clipped like the root of the mole. Then, he took the razor thing (I don’t know what everything looks like, since I had my eyes closed.
) and started to shave the mole off but the blade wasn’t sharp enough (I couldn’t feel the mole, but only around it, so when the blade wasn’t sharp enough, I didn’t feel it) so he had the nurse get a new one. Then, he finished shaving it off and put some white stuff on the wound, and put a band-aid over top.
It was really weird because I couldn’t see anything since my eyes were closed, but I could still tell what was going on. We were talking about books (Henty’s, to be exact)while they were doing the procedure. While we were still in the hospital, above my wound was twitching! LOL It was soo weird. Then, it was hurting for a few hours. But now, it hardly hurts. But, it is really weird knowing that I don’t have a mole that I have had for my whole life.
It all seems like a dream, yet it is real. Everything about it is weird thinking about.
Auf Wiedersehen
