Shooting, Frosting, and Peaches
I am horrible at figuring out interesting titles, so, I won’t. LOL Monday we went shooting out .270’s. The twins shot that size of gun for the first time. Dad sited in my rifle.. but not quite. We still have to adjust it a little. The twins did pretty well for target shooting. Nice groups.
.
Last night it frosted so the twins went out and picked a bunch of tomatoes, peppers and the volunteer acorn squash. We have already picked all the corn.
.
Last week (I think it was last week) a neighbor gave us 2 boxes of peaches. I made a 2 cobbler’s and 2 crisps.. and Mom made a cobbler that had yellow cake mix on the top because a friend gave us a sack of the cake mix. It was soo good! So, the second cobbler I made had yellow cake mix on top, too. Now, Mom got 2 more boxes of them yesterday, so I am making more cobbler with yellow cake mix!

Easy Peach Cobbler
.
4 lb. peeled and sliced peaches
1 1/2 boxes dry yellow cake mix
1 1/2 sticks butter
.
To peel the peaches, boil water and place peaches in water for 1 minute. Take out with tongs and and let them cool until they are handleable. Then, the skin comes off easily. Slice. Take the peeled and sliced peaches and put them in a 9×13 pan. Pour dry yellow cake mix over top and dot with butter. Cook for 45 minutes on 350* or until golden.
