Saturday we went to the B’s house. =) I beat Emily (while helping Kate B.), Katie, and Kieron B. at air hockey! Now my shoulder is all sore because I play with vigor. LOL
Sunday we celebrated Mom’s birthday. Her birthday really is tomorrow. =D She had Taco’s for her dinner and carrot cake and Butter Pecan, Rocky Road, and another kind of ice cream that I don’t remember the name to.
Ben’s birthday is next Sunday. It is soo weird that he will be turning 20… Eric’s birthday will be in November, and he is going to be getting his permit! I’m not so sure I want him driving us around.. LOL j/k
Joe and I are still trying to graduate. I am only half way through Geometry and Algebra, but Joe has already finished both of them. I hope to graduate before my birthday. =D
I’ve been thinking it would be fun to write a summary of our year for my blog, at the end of the year.
We are going to go hunting next month! I can’t wait! I have already made a list of all the foods we are going to take, and which days we are going to eat them. Mom and Dad’s 24th anniversary is going to happen while we are hunting!
Hopefully, Mom and the littles kids can come hunt with us… though it is hard for us to cram into two trailers! We have a short trailer (about 16 foot) that is the boys’ camper. All the boys, except Dad, sleep in there. Then, there is the girls camper that is about 24 foot. Last time everybody came hunting, Abby slept in the bathtub, Emily slept in the walk way, Mom, Dad, and Elle slept on the table, and the rest of us girls slept on a board put between two couches, using both couches, and the middle. Make sense? LOL It was Tess, Anne, Me, and Katie in an area meant for 2 people!
We all have colds, unfortunately. I hate colds, because mine last for 2 weeks! Arg! Actually.. this one hasn’t been too bad! Yay!
Rats! The L key fell of my (Joe’s) keyboard!
I had better finish up this post, ’cause we are going to eat dinner soon.
Have a good day!

FOR TODAY September 29, 2008
Outside My Window… from my view on the couch, I see the tops of the really tall trees
I am thinking… how ‘different’ butter pecan ice cream is
I am thankful for… school, no matter how much I complain!
From the kitchen… Ben is eating leftover tacos from Mom’s birthday dinner!
I am wearing… Anne’s skirt, which is my favorite, a blue t-shirt, and a pink button up shirt that isn’t buttoned up.
I am creating… still that same thing.. the reading and review blog. =)
I am going… oh.. what was I going to do? I can’t remember, sorry..
I am reading… only the Bible.. Titus through 2 Peter
I am hoping… that my reading and review blog will be done by Oct 1!
I am hearing… Ben putting his dishes in the sink. LOL
Around the house… white.. how boring!
One of my favorite things… is my shoes! No, I am not a fanatic about shoes.. I only have 1 pair.. anways, my shoes are really cool!
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: Not sure.. probably more decluttering.. fun fun… ugh!
Here is picture thought I am sharing…
This is a funny picture for me to see, because in practically all my pictures I am laughing! Plus, I look like I am wearing make-up, which I am not.
I look not very happy, though I really was.. the next second I was laughing!

Well, since I really should update. I’ll post about a birthday party we went to. We went out of town to about 2 hours away and rode horses! Here’s some pictures.

Dad, with Mr. V (the birthday boy)’s hat.

Anne, atop of Rustina

Ben on Rustina

Eric on Rustina and Joe on Buddy (nicknamed Soda)

Me on Rustina, who is looking like she is a good girl, but really isn’t! She had a phobia of the gate, and would NOT go out into the pasture! She loves fences, and wouldn’t slow down.. that is why that expression is on my face!

Emily on Buddy. Once I rode buddy, and he was soo slow… especially after riding Rustina!

Joe.. I don’t think he was posing… When he was actually posing, he was having a hard time keeping a straight face!

Kate, having the time of her life!

Rase on Shandy with Katrina V. leading him.

Rase pushed one of the V. twins around in this ‘car’.

Myself, doing what I do best!

Mom and Elle.. Anne said she looks like a TV preacher! I don’t agree, seeing as Elle is cute.

Mr. V. with the V. twins, about to blow out the candles!
Yes, there is other V. kids, and a Mrs. V. =D
I am going to post some old pictures, once the software to the thing that transfers them onto the computer (I can’t think of the name) is found!
Thank you for taking the time to read this post!

It all started at 7:00 on the 1st Saturday morning of September, when Grace woke to the sound of her elder sister’s cell phone ringing, on the top bunk of their bunk bed. The elder sister, Dee, answered the ‘phone.
“Yeah?” Dee said, half asleep
“Rise and shine, and give God the glory, glory,
Rise and shine, and give God the glory, glory!
Rise and Shine, and give God the glory, glory
Children of the Lord!” Grace heard, singing from the ‘phone.
After that, it was too hard to hear what the other person was saying, while Dee would say every once in a while, “OK”. After Dee’s final “OK”, she handed the ‘phone down to Grace. Grace said, “Yeah?” and heard the song all over again, being sung by her dad.
Then, after the song was finished, the dad said, “We are going shooting, so get up and get ready!”
“OK!” Grace replied
“Bye”
“Bye”
Grace closed the cell phone and handed it back up to Dee, then looked over at her little sister, Kathryn, who had slept with her that night. Kathryn was wide awake, so Grace rolled out of bed, and went in search of warm enough clothes to wear. Finally, she found a black ruffled skirt, and a purple button-up shirt, with sleeves, because it was rather cold.
.
Then, Grace went out and ate a Sweet & Salty Peanut bar. After that, and searching the cupboards and refrigerator for a non-leftover solid food, she left in dispair, and made Kathryn a peanut butter sandwich, which wasn’t eaten until much later.
.
Eventually, she went and got her rifle from her room, and brushed her and Kathryn’s hair. Then came an especially hard challenge… finding socks, that magically disappear in the drier! After that ordeal, thankful that she didn’t have to resort to the dirty laundry pile to find socks, she went to get Kathryn’s shoes from the ever messy entry way closet.
And whaddya know, she couldn’t find the left shoe! Rats! So, she went and called her sisters, Sabrina, Sue, and Naomi, to go look in their and Kathryn’s room for Kathryn’s shoe. After hours of searching, they still couldn’t come up with it, and so Kathryn had to wear her snow boots, which was just as well, because it had rained all the night before, and was still raining.
.
So, roughly about 9:00 AM, they got out the door, and into the 15 passenger van. The four oldest brothers, Edward, Levi, Glenn, and Daniel, were going to go in the one of Edward’s pickups that didn’t have it’s engine parted out, so they could go to the gun show, which was being held at the Day Inn.
.
In the van, the dad was giving the roll call.
“Dee?”
“Yeah.”
“Grace?”
“Here.”
“Sabrina?”
“Here.”
“Sue?”
“Yeah?”
And stopped there.. he doesn’t have to call out for Naomi, Andrew, Tyler, Kathryn, or Jane, because they all make plenty of noise, so you would notice if they weren’t there!
.
The road to the Gun and Fun Club was rather uneventful, besides the fact that Grace noticed Kathryn was wearing dirty pants on backwards.
.
As the family drove down to the rifle range, they were chatting about how all the people who lived close to the club complain about the noise.
.
Once at the rifle range, Edward, Levi, Glenn, and Daniel unloaded the van full of rifles and ammo and such. The men then went and put up the targets while the girls chatted.
.
After the men had come back up to the shooting line, Grace and Dee started shooting their respective rifles. After four shots for each, they handed the guns off to Sabrina and Sue. Sabrina started shooting almost right away, but Sue was scared of the recoil. Edward, Sue’s ‘handyman’, was telling her that she would think that the recoil was just nothing, after all that complaining and building up.. so, after Grace and Sabrina had taken 2 turns each on Grace’s rifle, Sue finally shot. And, just as Edward had been telling her, she thought the recoil wasn’t so bad after all!
.
At 12:00 PM, the family was done shooting. Edward, Levi, Glenn, and Daniel headed off to the gun show, and the rest of the family loaded up into the van and went to McDee’s and each of them had a hamburger and apple pie, with three pops to share between them.
.
After McDee’s, they went to Shippies, which only the mom and the dad went in, while the kids in the van almost died of the heat, because the day had been previously cool, but then by this time it had warmed up quite a bit, and the heater was left on.
Finally, after several hours, the mom and the dad had come back, and they went to Higher Ground to the Stevski’s house, then to the $ Store to get presents for Andrew’s upcoming birthday.
.
After the $ Store, they left for Wallies World. Andrew, Dee, and the mom went inside, while the rest almost died from thirst. After several hours there, Andrew, Dee and the mom finally came out. Everybody was quite tired from being out all day by now. It was 5:30 by the time they got home. Everybody was exhausted. Levi, Dee, Sue, Sabrina, and Grace all headed for the computers. Grace checked her W00t! Mail, Head Story, and Peep. All of a sudden, she had The Wonderful Idea! To write the story, The Adventures of a Swiss Porcupine. So, after she had written it, she gave all the blame to being horribly tired after a long day.
.
Part II of The Adventures of a Swiss Porcupine coming up later!
Yesterday afternoon, the Saurez’s left. just about 10 minutes before they left, we had company come, for the purposes of eating lunch, and to teach the boy’s how to weld.. the H’s daughter, Katie, and Anne and I played celtic music together, Katie and Anne on violins and I on the recorder… had a ton of fun!
.
Yesterday, Dad also gave me a .22 pistol! It had been previously Ben’s, and he was selling it, and while the Saurez’s were here, the Saurez boys all wanted to buy it! But, Dad bought it for me! I love, love, love it! It is extremely accurate, good looking, at overall awesome. LOL So, everybody around had better watch out for a pistol packing
