Yay! We are finally home from Oregon! We left the 19th. We drove Thursday night… till Friday morning.. about 10:00 Oregon time, which was when we got to Grammoo and Papa’s house. We ate dinner there, then went to Grandpa’s house, where we were staying.
Saturday we had a concert at Grandpa’s church.
Sunday we played one song during morning service at Grandpa’s church, then went to West Moreland Union Manor and played there. Sunday was also Paul’s (an uncle of ours) birthday
Monday we went to Dinner with Uncle David and Aunt Fran and some friends.
Tuesday we went to dinner with a Chinese gentleman we met at the Manor.
Wednesday was Papa’s birthday. We spent the greater part of the day at his house.
Thursday we hung out at Grandpa’s house.
Friday half of us went to the Guitar Center, half of us went to Goodwill.
Saturday we visited the family of one of Dad’s former Russian employees, and had a scrumptious dinner!
Sunday we went and played at Uncle Steve’s church. Sunday night we went back to Grammoo’s and Papa’s house to pack up the trailer with food.
Monday, after finishing packing the trailer (about 2:00 am!) we left on our way back home! We arrived home about 7:00. Boy, is it good to be home!

Sometime, I don’t know when, I think Anne will post a detailed post.
This morning I took the ACT with Joe, at a local high school. I was nervous until I actually was taking the test. Of course the worst part was the Mathematics, and the best… Reading! English isn’t that bad, either.
In the Science and Reading, they had some Global Warming-ism and Evolution-ism respectively. It was boring and stupid. LOL It’s like, they are trying to indoctrinate me, even through tests!
.
Didja know that ‘respectively’ is a favorite word of the ACT Gurus?
.
Have a good day! I hope I get a good score on the ACT.. won’t get the answers for 3-7 weeks! ![]()

Day-before-yesterday was Tessila’s birthday! I took some pictures yesterday of her wearing the clothes Grammoo got her. I did her bangs and hair (with the curler).

Out of this picture, I cut the garbage can out, because I accidentally got it in!

We all have had our pictures taken in our performance outfits, and Anne (with Joe’s help) made the poster picture, and yesterday we went and dropped the CD off with the image at the printers, and today, we picked up our posters!
.
Yesterday we went and got our hunting tags, and it was Jayden’s birthday. We had his birthday dinner Monday night. We were going to have his party (this is Jay’s first party) Sunday, but Rase ended up with strange spots, that we weren’t sure about, so we canceled it, and will have it another day! He is really looking forward to it.
.
May 17-18 was the Homeschool Convention. Us kids were runners. Kate and I went in a pair everywhere, and sometimes we just walked around, sometimes I would take pictures, and sometimes I would actually be doing something productive! Both days Kate and I handed out water to the vendors. We had fun! Eric earned some money from taking pictures of a workshop!
.
Today we had to go get my picture with a sworn statement that ‘this is my picture’ and Mom’s signature notarized, so I could have adequate identification to go take the ACT. Mom and I were wondering why we just couldn’t use my hunting license for identification, since you have all your information that you would have on a drivers license, etcetera. Joe and I are both working in Math-U-See Geometry. Geometry is easier than I expected, and certainly better than any other mathematics! We both will be taking the ACT in June.
.
It is hard to think that we will be going to OR in less than a month! Time flies so quickly! Grandpa and Grammoo have been discussing where and what we are going to eat! We are going to stay at Grandpa’s house, but Grammoo wants to cook for us (Grandpa is Mom’s Dad and Grammoo is Dad’s Mom)!
.
I have been working on HSB templates. I have one finished, that Emily is using, and I am working on one for Tess, that is the same style as Em’s, and I am working on another one, that I can’t seem to get right!
.
We all have been having colds, except a select few. How miserable! I wish we could be Les Miserables! LOL Poor Elle has it, too. She hates her nose being wiped.

My outfit!
Ok, I’m back!
I temporarily forgot my username, today. Stupid me! But, I finally remembered it.
.
Anne and I have been busy sewing peasant style skirts. I kept putting the bottom layer on inside-out! I almost went insane, but finally, I stopped putting them inside-out. All our skirts are done. One for each girl. Now we gotta work on vests. I hope we can get ‘em done this week.
.
Yesterday was the Home School Talent Show. Us girls sang. Joe, Em, and Kate had a table. Joe had is laptop and his flat screen monitor, and displayed pictures. Em displayed paintings, and Kate displayed a drawing.
.
In school, I just have one math book left. Consumers Mathematics. I believe our whole family has a case of dyscalculia. Con. Math. is pretty easy, so the main thing I have to do to graduate is pound geometry into my head. Though, when it comes to pounding geometry into my head, my head seems as hard as rock!
.
Early April we went to OR, because Grandpa wasn’t doing well. Now, he is doing much better. I think it was Saturday he was discharged, and they put him into a comblessant (sp?) home to recover fully, before going home. But, the people there weren’t doing things right, and he is back in the hospital.
.
This week, for our bible reading, we are starting on Psalms. We are going to do chapters 1-75.
.
Um.. well, I can’t think of anything more to add.
.
Revelations 14:6-7 Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth–to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people– saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.”
Bad me! I just went on the computer!
But, I just wanted to say, Joe got ‘his’ camera today! If you go over to Anne’s blog, I think she is posting pictures of Elle………….. and her shoes…… ![]()
I won’t be on for a while… I have other things to get done, and the computer is in the way, so to speak. It will take me about 2-4 months to get what I need done… Auf Wiedersehen!
Elizabeth
Guten Tag.
We went to the dentist yesterday. Is there anybody who likes going to the dentist?
I don’t like to. We had to be there by 7:00 AM, but got there more like 7:30 AM! We were there until about, 2:30 (everybody but Abby and Elle got their teeth cleaned and films of their teeth done, and a few of us had fillings, which we will have to go get more later). Rase wasn’t feeling well the whole time, and slept on the floor in the waiting room for a while. After the dentist, we went to Costco and had pizza and pop at the food court (as the twins say) to dirty our nice clean teeth. After that, we had to go to the vacuum place to get our vacuum unplugged. Then, we got home and most of us were very tired. Since we had had such a late lunch, and all of us were still full, I made brownies for dinner! ![]()
.
Today has been uneventful. We are going to have ‘herbed’ potatoes with cheese and sour cream in it, and baked. Yum! I can’t wait to smother it in ketchup (actually, even though I have a reputation of putting lots of ketchup on stuff, I only put it on everything, not a lot of it on everything, though
.)
.
Mom and I have been working in the storage and guest rooms and cleaning things out and getting rid of things. We have gotten pretty far, and are about half-way done!
.
After a long, hard search for shoes for me (we went to all the fancy shops and everything), we FINALLY found a pair of shoes for me… from Cabelas.com . The problem was that I couldn’t find any decent styles (at least, that I thought was decent), and when we did, they didn’t have the size I needed because I am a wide.
We had finally figured out my size at Al’s Bootery, but their shoes were way expensive. I had found one pair that I really liked, but, they were way expensive. We got home later that day (after going to all the shops/malls) and Dad suggested looking at Cabelas site. So, I did, and found a pair of shoes that were exactly my size, that were almost exactly like the ones at Al’s that were more of a reasonable price! So, I oughta have a new pair of shoes by Friday.
.
The boys bought Battlefield (all of them) and MOH! I don’t like playing multi-player because people (by the name of Dad) always sneaks up behind me and scares me! I don’t mind playing single player (Battlefield) because nobody does that! ![]()
.
I hope this hasn’t been a too long and boring post.
Dinner is soon, and I have other stuff I want to do, so:
Auf Wiedersehen
Elizabeth
