Going Hunting

October 27th, 2007

Here I write, on the cusp of our departure; a small contingent of Electric Church (the 14 of us) are going to hunt for our meat for the coming year. Will we find enough game to provide our family meat? Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” This is in relation to our needs of food and clothing. Keeping our eyes fixed on the author and finisher (completer) of our faith, The Lord Jesus Christ, we need not worry for anything. Neither do I seek for anything other than His Kingdom. Matthew 7:13-14 says, “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. “For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Notice it says, “Narrow is the way that leads to life, and there are FEW who FIND it.” So, seekers of the Kingdom of God are hunters!

What greater need do we have but of real life? If we keep our eyes fixed on Him, seeking for His kingdom, He will provide our needs; real and eternal LIFE! Happy Hunting!
